Bio
Joseph Gerth, a dedicated Lutheran, was born and raised in Dodge County. His career in education began in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, where he taught high school mathematics for six years. He then transitioned to St. Paul Lutheran School, where for seven years, he instructed students in grades 6-8 in subjects ranging from Latin and logic to literature.
In 2021, Joseph Gerth took on the role of principal at St. Paul Lutheran School. He is an active participant in the educational community, having presented at prominent conferences such as the Consortium for Classical Lutheran Education (CCLE) Conference, the Lutheran Education Association (LEA) Conference, and Concordia University Chicago.
Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Gerth is passionate about reading, lifelong learning, teaching, and grilling. He has been happily married to his wife, Elsa, for seven years, and they are the proud parents of two children, John and Margaret.
Mr. Gerth serves as the Lead Teacher of Immanuel Lutheran School and also serves as an administrator of our day school.
